Clean the plastic surface to remove any dirt or debris. Firmly press the area with your fingers to rub out the scratches. Make sure you do not overheat the plastic as you will burn it. Press a grain pad to the plastic with the palm of you hand.

If the area is made of smooth plastic then lightly sand the area with 2000 grit sandpaper. Take a clean damp cloth and dip it into some warm soapy water. This will remove any dirt and grease making it easier to get rid of the scratch. Make sure the area is clean and dry before you move on to the next step.

Clean the area on and around the scratch with interior plastic cleaner. Dry the area with a clean dry cloth when you re done 1 x research sourcestep 2 run a fingernail over the scratch to check its depth. Removing all the dirt and debris will help you get a smooth finish and stop dirt from melting into the plastic which could affect the colour. Shallow scratches can often be buffed out.

Gently rub it in a circular motion all around the scratch. Run your fingernail across the scratch.
