Purchase a scrubber brush with thick tightly compacted bristles. Use a heavy duty scrubber to remove residue with the ammonia solution. Alternatively you could coat the adhesive with petroleum jelly or mineral spirits for at least 12 hours to a day. To do this heat the adhesive with an electric heat gun or blow dryer.

This allows the adhesive to soften making it easier to remove. Most adhesives and caulks can be scraped off when they are softened. Gently scrape off the adhesive while you apply heat on the surface of your floor or wall. Dip the heavy duty scrubber brush into the solution and let it soak for a moment.

This will protect other surfaces from the adhesive remover. You ll need to soften the adhesive or caulk. Rub it in circular motions of the area until the adhesive is removed. To remove adhesive that has not yet been scraped from the concrete using the methods above make use of a scouring pad to get what is left.
