You can clean your tracks with basic kitchen cleaners or you can use a vinegar and baking soda mixture to pick up stubborn dirt.
Remove sliding glass door to clean track.
Remove the screws that hold the fixed door in place in the sliding door tracks.
To remove the screen door use a flathead screwdriver.
Insert the screwdriver at the bottom to lift the rollers from the track.
Vacuum both the top and bottom of the sliding glass door as well as the tracks.
Use a miniature vacuum to remove any of these loose materials.
Remove the sliding screen door by tilting the top toward you then lifting it up out of the bottom track.
Once you ve removed the door use a vacuum to clean the inside of the track and the bottom of your door.
Clear about 10 feet of space around the door remove any furniture or objects and ensure you have plenty of room to maneuver the doors.
Open the door and ask your helper to slightly lift the screen door.
Sliding glass doors are large and once you remove the doors from their tracks you will need plenty of space around the area so you can carefully lay the doors on the ground.
Using a homemade solution of half vinegar and half water or a premade cleaning solution wipe down both the track and bottom of the door with a soft cloth to remove any buildup or grime.
Dirty sliding glass door tracks can gum up your door and make it difficult to open and close.
